How to Make Your Make Up Last

Whether you’re on holiday or running around for work we all deserve the right to not have our makeup falling off our face ! Agree? If you agree, do check out some of our tips to help keep your makeup intact all day long.

#1 Hydrate your skin first 

Always prep your canvas (i.e. your beautiful face) by making sure that it is adequately hydrated. Dry skin cannot hold make up properly all day long. We suggest using a good hydrating essence like the Benton Fermentation Essence or a light weight moisturiser like the Cosrx Hyaluronic Acid Intensive Cream to prepare your canvas before you paint your beautiful masterpiece.

#2 Prime your skin 

Post sunblock, primers such as the 3CE Back to Baby Pore Velvet Primer are your first cosmetic steps that can help your make up last all day long. They seal in your skincare and help to give the appearance of smooth skin all day long. 

#3 Add some argan oil

Add a drop of Argan oil into your make up like our Missha Triple Eyeshadow and it won’t crease all day! That extra dash of hydration is going to save you some time as well because you wouldn’t need to touch up your make up before you take that perfect holiday photo or close that important business deal.

#4 Use creamy makeup 

Creamy make up like the 3CE Creamy Check Stick will last longer on your skin. Don’t have creamy make up? Mix your liquid makeup like a liquid lip stain such as the 3CE Lip Lacquer with a primer to make it last longer. You can control the intensity of the colour by adding more of the primer to dilute the colour or more of the liquid lipstick to make the colour pop out more. 

#5 Use a loose powder/ setting spray

The last makeup step you should do before you head out of the house is to set your make up in place with some loose powder like the 3CE Studio Blur Filter Powder or you can use a setting spray.
